Salone del Mobile 2024, Milan, Italy

The Salone del Mobile, held during Milan Design Week in Italy from April 16th to 21st, stands out as one of the foremost global furniture fairs, attracting designers, architects, industry leaders and enthusiasts. Showcasing the pinnacle of innovation and design trends in furniture, lighting, and interior decor, this prestigious event features exhibitions, product launches, and exclusive events, fostering networking, collaboration, and creative exchange that shapes the design industry.

During the event, numerous esteemed Italian and European brands were visited,, as well as the unveiling of their latest products and innovations, providing an immersive experience at the events. Among the highlights were the unveiling of Edra’s exclusive fabric collection inspired by the vibrant colors and reflective properties of the minerals. This collection of materials adorned several pieces at the Edra stand at the Salone del Mobile, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and artistic expression.

Fiam Italia also made a notable impression at the event, presenting their new collections and collaborations with international designers. One stand-out piece was the Tau pendant lamp, designed by Ryosuke Fukusada, which drew inspiration from the delicate “Sankayou” flower found in mountainous areas. The lamp mimics the flower’s transparent petals which when exposed to the dew, creates a delicate glass-like appearance. Another notable addition was the Stone side table, featuring an organic design reminiscent of natural stones. The contrasting of shapes, materials, and finishes in the pieces added a unique character and aesthetic appeal to the collection.

Saba Italia also made waves with their new product launches. The Piping version of the Vela sofa, The Vela Piping, designed by Zanellato/Bortotto, was inspired by sails and incorporates elements reminiscent of sail ropes just like the original Vela with the added modularity. Meanwhile, the Butter coffee table from 967arch, evokes the elegance of a blade sinking into butter. These pieces combine functionality with pure geometrical forms, offering both aesthetic appeal and practicality.

These are just a few highlights from the multitude of new collections and exhibits featured in Milan Design Week 2024, demonstrating the continued innovation and creativity within the design industry. We have curated the best items from these esteemed Italian brands in our showroom, offering our customers access to the latest and most innovative designs.
