Exploring Venini’s Origins: From Murano to the Space Edition Showroom

Space Edition had the privilege of visiting Venini’s historic glassworks on Murano, founded in 1921 and one of the few original factories still operating on the island. During our tour, a master artisan demonstrated the Fantasmino technique, Venini’s best selling collection in which molten glass is skillfully shaken to form graceful patterns.

We also explored the Venini Museum, home to an extensive archive of works that marry centuries old craftsmanship with cutting edge design. Renowned worldwide, Venini has partnered with legendary designers such as Ettore Sottsass and Peter Marino as well as luxury houses including Jimmy Choo, Buccellati, Gucci, Fantini, Paco Rabanne, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and many more.
