Lucie Koldova

Lucie Koldova is a distinguished Czech and international product and furniture designer known for her charismatic and elegant style.

Her partnership with Brokis began in 2010, marked by the creation of the iconic Muffins and Balloons lighting collections, which she designed while based in Paris. Since becoming Brokis' art director in 2014, Koldova has played a pivotal role in defining the brand’s product portfolio and image. In 2018, she earned the distinction of being the first Czech designer to create the Das Haus installation for imm cologne, where she featured her Puro Sparkle, Ivy, Big One, and Jack O’Lantern collections.

Koldova’s voluminous glass lights have not only showcased her unique design flair but have also positioned Brokis as an innovative leader in handblown glass lighting. Her work includes the introduction of significant technological and formal solutions, advancing Brokis’ capabilities in handblown glass production and paving the way for novel and exciting lighting concepts.

Over the years, her portfolio has expanded to include distinctive designs such as Capsula, Spectra, Muffins Candleholder, Prisma, Overlay, and Ivy Battery. Continuing her legacy of innovative design, 2024 sees the launch of her new collection, "Starcloud." Described as an enchanting masterpiece of stellar beauty, "Starcloud" features a mesmerizing nebula of gracefully intermingling lights that evoke the vastness of the night sky. This latest creation exemplifies Koldova's ongoing commitment to merging artistic expression with advanced lighting technology.
