Enzo Berti

He was born in Venice in 1950, he developed a strong inclination for the arts early on, further nurtured by his studies under Alberto Viani at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.

During the mid-seventies, he delved into the first industrial design course at the Faculty of Architecture, enriching his design ethos through interactions with key figures in the decorative arts. His work, known for its creative flair and aesthetic sensibility, blends form, function, and the expressive capacity of materials. 

Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including awards at the Biennale of Design in Ljubljana and the Product Design Award in Chicago. More recently, he earned the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award and the Red Dot Award in Singapore, where his projects in lighting and music have made significant impacts.

His designs, which prioritize practicality in everyday objects, are characterized by simplicity and meticulous attention to detail. 

The Hexa coffee table from Saba Italia draws inspiration from the concept of memory, reinterpreting simple and iconic shapes with echoes from the past. As a designer, he strives to simplify the world around us without overlooking details, thus creating elements that connect with history and our environment.
